Quality

Quality at the Heart of the Process

Quality control is a central phase in Brixia Metal Finish's processes, designed to ensure that every part meets the technical requirements and standards requested by the customer.

Quality

100% inspection according to rigorous automotive standards

  • Rigorous Controls We monitor every stage of the finishing cycle through constant dimensional and visual inspections, ensuring all non-conformities are eliminated before shipping.

  • Certified Processes We apply standardized operating protocols that guarantee maximum repeatability: every batch receives the exact same treatment as the approved master sample.

  • Measurable Numbers We translate quality into reliable data: we measure roughness (Ra, Rz) and centesimal tolerances to provide you with objective and consistent results.

quality, the process that makes us unique

_ quality the process that makes us unique

Brixia Metal Finish performs visual sorting on any type of metal part or assembly provided by the customer. The visual and tactile analysis is aimed at verifying the part's geometry and its surface quality. The objective is to certify that the final product complies with the customer's design and meets all functional and performance characteristics in full accordance with the technical data sheet. Optical inspectors, visual sorting, and measurements must be custom-designed: each component has its own characteristics and unique defects. Accuracy represents the hallmark of our inspectors' work.Consistency with the engineering drawing does not prevent a part from being deficient or defective in its machining, holes, threads, surface treatments, or any other formal and superficial aspects that characterize it. Furthermore, processing residues such as chips, burrs, and various non-conformities—whether minor or substantial—can be potentially harmful and slow down the customer's final production processes.

The accurate analysis performed by Brixia Metal Finish and the sorting of parts allow the customer to better understand their process through rejects and their impact on total production while simultaneously ensuring that only compliant parts are available for their production process.

l Procedure

The company operates according to a UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System, supported by traceability and data collection systems directly linked to the production plants. Furthermore, targeted process audits are performed to prevent critical issues and maintain high standards of efficiency and reliability.

l Controls

Verifications include visual surface inspection to identify defects and the measurement of tolerances following the machining processes. Each batch is evaluated according to criteria defined by the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, ensuring traceability, consistency, and maximum reliability of the result.

l Minimum Waste

Out of over 4.5 million parts processed, the weighted average reject rate is 0.34%, with over 99.66% of parts being compliant.
This means: less than 1 part rejected for every 300 processed, consistent quality even on high production volumes, and a reduction in rework, waste, and downtime.

_ FAQ _
(Frequently Asked Questions)

_ FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)

What happens if a product fails quality control?
In the event of a detected non-conformity during inspections, the part is immediately segregated and rejected from the production flow. Subsequently, following customer validation and authorization, the material is returned according to agreed procedures, ensuring the correct management of the non-conformity.
Is quality control performed on every part or by sampling?
The inspection method is defined during the agreement phase with the customer, based on the technical requirements and the criticality level of the product. Upon request, a 100% inspection can be performed, with piece-by-piece verification by our operators, ensuring full compliance with the required standards.
How often are inspections performed and how are the results documented?
A dedicated Quality Control specialist performs inspections at pre-established intervals (e.g., every hour), systematically recording the outcomes on dedicated forms and files. All activities are carried out in compliance with applicable ISO criteria, ensuring inspection traceability, controlled data archiving, and continuous process monitoring.
